About the author

I wanted the thinking to keep helping.

I’m Marc Young, the creator of Mindful Pages. I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was twelve. This work grew out of the questions I encountered while running a business.

A plan should have a life after the loan.

Years ago, I completed a business plan for an SBA loan. I expected that plan to help me run the business. Being told that its purpose was finished once the loan was approved stayed with me.

I wanted something I could return to as the business changed: a place to preserve what I was learning, examine what it meant and use it to decide what came next.

Three legal pads and a 3×5 card.

My early way of working through a problem was simple. I put its name on a 3×5 card above three legal pads.

  1. On the first pad, I gathered information. It did not need to be tidy yet.
  2. On the second, I sorted and connected that material until I understood it better.
  3. On the third, I wrote a practical plan.

Later I added an essential fourth movement: Evaluation. What actually happened? What did it teach me? What should change?

Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom and Evaluation became the foundation of Mindful Pages.

Tools that leave the judgment with you.

The books teach ways to approach the work. The journals give your observations, learning and decisions somewhere durable to live. Business Bloom is being developed to connect that work through a guided digital experience.

AI can help organize information, ask questions and examine options. You bring the experience and remain responsible for deciding what fits your circumstances.

Hand the method to AI—not your judgment.

Begin with the question in front of you.

You do not have to adopt a whole system at once. Choose a useful place to begin, do the work, and return to what you learn.

Because You Rock.
