Before the project begins

Give your client a specific starting point. Use these six checks to explain what to send, review what arrives, and identify what still needs attention.

  1. 01

Confirm the project and main contact

Record who supplies the material and who can confirm it is ready to use.

  2. 02

    List each required item separately

Name the logo, page copy, photographs, links, and answers the project needs.

  3. 03

Explain what a usable submission looks like

Specify the required format, context, or example so the client can respond clearly.

  4. 04

    Set a useful delivery point

Connect the requested date to the work it enables. Confirm dependencies together.

  5. 05

    Review what arrives

Distinguish received material from material that is complete and accepted.

  6. 06

    Make the next step specific

Explain any correction needed, identify missing items, and confirm readiness to begin.

A useful way to begin the conversation

“Here is the material I need to get started. Each request explains what to send. I will review the submissions and let you know what still needs attention.”

Put it into practice

For example, ask for the logo file, homepage copy and project photographs as separate items. If the copy is incomplete, say what needs correcting while keeping the other outstanding requests visible.

Illustrative example. Adapt it to your project and existing process.

Your information & privacy

Mindful Pages is run by Marc Young. This notice describes the marketing website and its forms; Business Bloom is still in development.

When you contact us or sign up: the forms collect your email address, any name you provide, your selected interests or subject, and your message where applicable. Submissions are processed and stored through Netlify, our website hosting and form provider. Marc uses them to respond to questions and send the release updates you requested.

Book and app updates: signing up for book releases does not add you to app updates unless you select that option. The Business Bloom waitlist is for app early-access news.

Website analytics: this website includes Google Analytics to help understand visits and use of the site. Google may process browser, device, and interaction information and use cookies. You can use your browser’s privacy settings to restrict cookies and tracking.

Requests: to stop release emails, ask about your information, or request deletion of your form submission, use Contact Marc and select the relevant subject. Include the email address used for your original submission.
